Tunisia: EURO-CYCLES sees decline in production and exports at end September

EURO-CYCLES, the leading Tunisian manufacturer of bicycles for export, experienced a slight slowdown in its activity by the end of the first nine months of 2025.

According to the published activity indicators, the total number of bicycles produced as of September 30, 2025, stood at 259,274 units, compared to 269,056 units a year earlier, down 3.6%.

This contraction in production is explained notably by a slowdown in demand in certain European markets and less favorable logistical conditions compared to 2024.

On the commercial front, export revenue fell by 13.1% to 83.3 million dinars, compared to 95.9 million dinars during the same period last year.

Regarding financing, EURO-CYCLES’ bank commitments reached 55 million dinars as of September 30, 2025, marking a slight increase of 2.2% year-on-year, but a decrease of 7.1% compared to the level recorded at the end of the 2024 financial year.

This trend reflects a prudent management of debt in an economic context marked by pressures on production costs and interest rates.

Despite a challenging international environment, EURO-CYCLES continues its efforts to strengthen its competitiveness and diversify its export markets, anticipating a more sustained recovery in demand by 2026.
