Exports of fishery products are expected to generate revenues reaching 300 million Tunisian dinars (MTD) in 2011, compared with 226 MTD in 2010, i.e. a rise of 30%.
The Agriculture Ministry reminds in a statement received by TAP news agency that Tunisia produces annually 100 thousand tons of fishery products.
The sector employs nearly 35 thousand fishermen working on 11,500 boats, 90% of which are very small.
