Tunisia: exports slow down, but bring more in Dinars

The results of Tunisia’s foreign trade at current prices during the whole year 2019 show that exports increased by 7% against +19.1% during the year 2018.

Exports reached the level of 43855.4 MD against 40987.4 MD during the year 2018.

Similarly, imports posted a 5.4% increase against +20% during 2018. Imports therefore reached the value of 63264.1 MD against 60010.3 MD during 2018.

Offshore companies export more and import less

The breakdown of trade by regime shows an increase in exports under the offshore regime by 9.4% against +16.1% during the year 2018.

Under the same regime, imports rose 5.9% against +22.3% during the year 2018.

Under the general regime, exports are slightly up by 0.4% against +27.8% during 2018.

Similarly, imports went up 5.2% against +18.9% during 2018.
