Tunisia’s ambassador to Turkey, Mohamed Fayçal Ben Mustapha, said Tunisia’s trade deficit with Turkey in 2016/2017 reached 1,300 million dinars.
Speaking to Express Fm on Thursday, he said it was agreed to extend the repayment of a credit of 300 MD of two years, on the sidelines of the visit of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Tunisia, knowing that this loan is intended to strengthen the military logistics in the country.
Ben Mustapha added that four MoUs have been signed. Two of them relate to the integration of Tunisia among the countries benefiting from military aid, while a memorandum of understanding relates to the environmental aspect and the last agreement relates to the development of investments between the two countries. .
He added that the second meeting of the Higher Council for Strategic Cooperation between Tunisia and Turkey will be held in February 2018.
