Tunisia: Exports up, imports down (INS)

According to the latest figures from the INS for the first four months of 2013, Tunisia’s exports picked up in the first four months of 2013, posting an increase of 9.9%, according to l the National Institute of Statistics.

This increase is, however, more visible in the general scheme (16.9%) than in offshore companies (6.1%).

For their part, Tunisian imports resumed a downward trend. They, in fact, increased by 8% compared to the same period of 2012. Imports of companies of the offshore regime, however, were less significant, since their increase was only 3.4%, against a 9.9% increase for imports in companies in the general scheme.
