Fethi Zouhair Nouri, an academic and former Executive Board member of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), was installed as Governor of the BCT on February 15, by Tunisian Head of State Kais Saïed. Nouri succeeds Marouane El Abassi, whose term of office comes to a natural end.
A renowned economist and distinguished researcher, Fethi Zouhair Nouri holds a degree in economics with a specialization in planning from the Tunis Faculty of Economics and Management, a doctorate in industrial finance from Paris 13 and in energy economics from Paris 2, and a doctorate in economics from the Sorbonne.
