Exports of food products increased by 52% during the first four months of 2013 compared to the same period of 2012, according to data presented Monday on the sidelines of the first forum “Business and Finance Tunisia 2013,” TAP news agency reported.
These exports accounted for 10.3% of the overall exports against 7.4% during the same period last year, said Agriculture Minister Mohamed Ben Salem during the presentation of investment opportunities in the agriculture and food sector.
They have thus contributed to increasing the overall exports by 3.9% and improving the coverage of the trade balance by 2.6%.
