Tunisia: foreign currency reserves increase to 117 days of imports

Foreign currency reserves have reached 117 days of imports, Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) Chedly Ayari told ExpressFm on Friday.

These will cover nearly four months of import, thanks to good governance and adequate strategy of handling imports and foreign currency.

With regard to the economic situation of the country, he stressed that the global economic situation is not encouraging, a fact confirmed by leaders of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) who spoke, according to him, of a recession in some countries, including Germany and the United States of America.
