Tunisia: ICF breaks all its export records

Tunisia’s aluminum fluoride exports totaled 13.7 million dinars in November 2018. Thus, over the first two months of Q4-2018, Aluminum Fluoride exports totaled 36.1 MD, for a monthly average of 18 MD against a monthly average of 15.4 MD in Q2-2018 considered the record Quarterly in terms of sales of Aluminum Fluoride.

In the first 11 months of 2018, Tunisia has increased its Aluminum Fluoride exports to 147.3, compared to 112 million for the whole of 2017, up 31.5%. This performance will be confirmed further with the integration of December 2018 sales.

The year 2017 was itself significantly higher than the year before. The depreciation of the dinar strongly favored the competitiveness of this product and consequently the turnover of “Industries Chimiques du Fluor” (ICF), unique producer and exporter of this product.

Exports of AIF3 to Brazil and Malaysia have decreased since the beginning of the year, but they have increased significantly (11 months 2018 compared to the whole of 2017) for destinations like Egypt (+15.9 MD), Oman (+13.4 MD), UAE (+13.4 MD), South Africa (+8.7 MD) and Russia (+3.1 MD).

The entry of new Aluminum Fluoride destinations has resulted in a better recurrence of ICF sales and a change of course marked by balanced and sustained growth.
