Tunisia: in euro terms, tourism receipts drop in 2017

After the upturn last August, the pace of tourism receipts slowed, especially during the last months of the year, as a result of the slow return of European tourists.
In fact, tourism receipts totaled 2,793 billion dinars at the end of December 2017, against 2,373 billion dinars at the same date in 2016, i.e. an increase of 420 million dinars or + 17.7%.

Excluding the currency effect, i.e. in terms of dollars, the increase in tourism receipts was limited to 10.5% in 2017. However, in terms of euros, revenues are down by 1.5%.
