Tunisia: inflation at 5.7% in October, according to the BCT

The Executive Board of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) noted an ongoing positive trend reflected in the deceleration of the rate of growth of in consumer prices since July, when it reached its highest level of the year (6%), reaching 5.4% yoy in October 2014, against 5.6% a month earlier.

As for core inflation (excluding fresh and controlled products), it posted a continued slowdown in its rate of growth for the third consecutive month, dropping to 5.7% in October 2014 from 5.8% the previous month.
