Tunisia’s inflation rate rose to 5.7% in June 2014, against 5.4% in May and 5.2% in April, said the latest statistics from the National Statistics Institute (INS).
This increase is explained by the rise recorded on year-on-year basis in prices of the “food and beverage” group from 6.2% in May 2014 to 7.9% in June 2014 and the “housing and household energy” group from 6.8% in May to 7.1% in June.
