Tunisia and Italy, on Monday, signed a memorandum of understanding for the implementation of the project “Complementary actions in the region of Rjim Maatoug.”
Under this agreement, the Italian Government will make available to the Government of the Republic of Tunisia a donation of EUR 2.457 million.
This innovative project that began in 1989 with the assistance of Italy aims to develop the region of Rjim Maatoug and improve the economic and social well-being of local residents by developing their economic and financial autonomy.
These new funds will allow strengthening the technical and organizational capacity of people, improving social and economic infrastructure and the implementation of individual or collective investment micro-projects.
