Tunisia and Italy signed, Monday at Carthage, a memorandum of cooperation to support Tunisia’s development efforts.
The document was signed by Tunisian Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Mohamed Zine Chlaifa and Italian Under-Secretary of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mario Giro.
The memorandum of cooperation involves the recycling a EUR 25-million debt (54.4 million dinars) to finance development projects and a loan of EUR 50 million (109 million dinars) to support the State budget.
There is also a donation of EUR 11 million (23.9 million dinars) to be devoted to the implementation of agricultural and social projects.
