Tunisia: Japan lends 750 million dinars

Japan has agreed to give Tunisia a loan of 750 million dinars ($ 480 million) to support the transition to democracy in the country, the cradle of the Arab Spring, Japanese Senior Vice Foreign Minister responsible for the Middle East, Europe and America Nobuo Kishi announced Tuesday in Tunis.

The credit, in the form of two loans, will be used to finance infrastructure and energy projects in Tunisia, which is struggling to revive its economy.
