Tunisia-Japan: new project to improve quality and productivity

Pursuant to the Cooperation Agreement, signed February 13, 2015, between the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), a new project to improve quality and productivity has been introduced.

The project, managed by the National Quality Promotion Program Management Unit in the Ministry of Industry, started January 11, 2016 by working meetings with stakeholders (Ministry of Industry, UTICA, CONECT, …).

Training for the benefit of 25 Tunisian executives in master trainers (training national master trainers in the field of quality and productivity) will begin February 1, 2016 with the involvement of a hundred Tunisian companies from the sectors of mechanical and electrical industries, the textiles and clothing sector and the chemical industry.

The project will cover a period of 4 years to make Tunisia a platform in the field of quality and productivity by strengthening national capacity in this area and setting up a regional program to strengthen Tunisian-African cooperation.
