Tunisia: leather and footwear exports post slight increase of 0.6%

November 2013, to reach a value of 918.5 million Tunisian dinars (MTD) against 913.4 MTD during the same period in 2012, according to data presented by the National Center of leather and footwear (CNCC).

The CNCC explained the increase in the exports of leather and footwear sector by the rise in export of shoes, shoe uppers and leather which reached 488.6 MTD, 197.6 MTD and 127.2 MTD, respectively, and the growth of the leather and footwear by 8.3% at the end of November 2013 by the activity of the company “Jal Group” in the years 2012 and 2013.
