Tunisia: local olive oil wins medals in Japan

According to the Technical Center of Packing and Packaging, several brands of Tunisian olive oil have won medals at the international extra virgin olive oil contest organized by the Japan Sommelier Association of Oil Olive (OSAJ), during the Foodex Fair which took place from March 6 to 9, 2012 in Tokyo.

These results, which were announced at the 2012 Olive Fair held in Tokyo, Japan by the Japanese Association of Sommeliers of Olive Oil from April 21 to 22, 2012, clearly show the level of quality control achieved by Tunisian companies.

Other firms were awarded prizes on the occasion of their participation in international competitions, including the CHO Company that had distinguished itself in the competition held in conjunction with the Biofach fair with two oils ranked among the top 10 organic olive oils.

The AVPA contest was also an opportunity to enhance the quality of Tunisian olive oils through the awards obtained by companies Sarra oils, Jbébli, Médoléa and Fendri.

Participation in international contests is a real marketing tool and will certainly enhance the reputation of Tunisian products and promote the brand image of Tunisian oils.
