Local tourism in Tunisia is less than ten per cent of the total, as opposed to over 30 in other countries, Minister of Tourism, Salma Elloumi, said in an interview with Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper.
She stressed the need to increase the rate of domestic tourism in tourism in the coming years.
Elloumi also said that domestic tourism cannot replace foreign tourism, but rather supplement it.
