The Ministry of Trade and Handicrafts has approved the creation of a major shopping center in the governorate of Gabes.
The data concerning the project were revealed by TAP, and show it has a sales area of 17,921 m2, and requires an investment of around 25 million dinars. It will create about 1,100 direct job positions and as many indirect jobs, in addition to 200 jobs during the implementation period.
The shopping center will include commercial and services areas, in addition to a hypermarket, a shopping mall, restaurants and a motor cars showroom.
The completion of works and the start of the project are expected within three years, according to the laws governing the sector.
The Ministry of Trade and Crafts had announced the granting of two other permissions for the creation of hypermarkets in Ben Arous and Monastir.
