The Tunisian and Mauritanian governments have signed about 20 agreements covering a wide range of areas, a way to breathe new life into bilateral relations.
On the occasion of the 18th session of the Tunisian-Mauritanian High Joint Cooperation Commission, Prime Minister Youssef Chahed visited the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott, on November 6, accompanied by a delegation of businessmen led by UTICA President Samir Majoul.
At the end of the closing meeting of this 18th session, 20 partnership agreements were signed between the two countries under the aegis of Youssef Chahed and Mauritanian Prime Minister Mohamed Salem Ould Bashir.
These agreements are:

2-Executive program of cooperation in the field of tourism 2019-2020
3-Executive Program in the field of energy and renewable energies 2019-2021
4-Bilateral Agreement on the Use and Equivalence of Driver’s Licenses
5-Executive Program of Cooperation in the Agricultural Sector 2019-2021
6-Executive Program for Environmental Cooperation 2019-2021
7-Memorandum of Understanding for Water Resources Cooperation 2019-2021
8-Memorandum of Understanding in the field of wastewater treatment 2019-2021
9-Agreement in the housing sector
10-Cultural Cooperation Program 2019-2021
11-Memorandum of cooperation between Tunisian Radio and Mauritania Radio
12-Executive Program of Cooperation on Religious Affairs 2019-2021
13- Executive program of cooperation on youth and sport
14-Memorandum of cooperation in the field of public service
15-Memorandum in the field of social affairs
16- Memorandum of Understanding in the field of veterinary health
17-Executive Program in the Education Sector 2019-2021
18-Proposal for an Executive Work Program in the Housing, Town Planning and Land Use Sector 2018-2019
19- Supplementary Memorandum of Understanding containing the statutes of the Tunisian-Mauritanian Business Council
20-Cooperation agreement between the chambers of commerce of the two countries.
