Investments in the industrial sector reached 2,377.9 MD In the first eight months of 2017, compared to 1,900.2 MD in the same period of 2016, posting an increase of 25.1%, said the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII).
The number of projects reported reached 2,484 in the first eight months of 2017, compared to 2,411 in 2016, up 3%.
These projects will create 39,796 jobs, compared to 34,999 jobs in 2016, i.e. an increase of 13.7%.
The month of August 2017 saw the reporting of 246 projects corresponding to an investment amount of 187.8 MD and job creations to the number of 3,908.
Compared to the previous month in which 237 projects, 239.1 MD of investment and 3,826 jobs were reported, August 2017 saw a 3.8% increase in projects, a 21.5% decrease in reported investment and a 2.1% increase in the level of jobs to be created.
