“Exports of Tunisian dates have reached 71,103 tons for a value of 306.1 million Tunisian dinars (MTD) during the 2015/2016 season, against 63,414 tons worth 299. 5 MTD during the 2014-2015 season, posting an increase of 12%, “according to data provided by the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources to African Manager on Tuesday, April 26.
The Tunisian dates are increasingly popular in the world. The oases of Tozeur, Gafsa, Gabes and Kebili produce more than 150 varieties of dates.
