Transparency International, on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, unveiled the Corruption Perceptions Index 2017 which covers 180 countries.
In this report, Tunisia was ranked 74th with 42 points, ahead of four Maghreb countries. Morocco was ranked 81st with 40 points, Algeria 122 with a score of 33 points, Mauritania 143rd with 28 points and Libya 171st with 17 points.
The index uses a scale from 0 to 100 in which 0 corresponds to an extremely corrupt country and 100 to a country without corruption.
The report of that NGO constitutes a reference in the field of the fight against corruption.
