Domestic crude oil production stood at 1,239 kilotons (kt) at the end of November 2024, down 14% compared to the end of November 2023, according to the report on the energy situation in November 2024 published by the National Energy and Mine Observatory.
This decline has affected several fields, namely Ashtart (-24%), El Hajeb/Guebiba (-33%), Gherib (-30%), Maamoura (-89%), Nawara (-17%), Miskar (-22%), El borma (-7%), Halk el Manzel (-16%), Cherouq (-12%), Hasdrubal (-7%) and Cercina (-9%).
On the other hand, other fields recorded an increase in production, namely Adam (+9%), Bir Ben Tartar (+44%), Sidi Litayem (+17%), Ezzaouia (+83%) and Essaida (+5%). According to the same source, average daily oil production fell from 33.3 thousand barrels/d at the end of November 2023 to 28.9 thousand barrels/d at the end of November 2024
