Investment intentions reported in the industrial sector during the first 8 months of 2012 posted an exceptional increase of 23.6% (2,642 MTD against 2,137 MT), said the Ministry of Industry said in a press statement.
These reported investments will generate more than 48,780 additional jobs in the industry.
However, the first 8 months in 2012 were characterized by a 9.3% decrease in the level of investment in regional development areas (1,084 MTD against 1,195 MD).
The share of these areas in the overall investment intentions fell from 55.9% to 41.0% during the first eight months of 2012.
