Tunisia: New CEPEX trade representative office in Dakar

A Tunisian trade representation office was inaugurated on Monday September 11, 2023 in the Senegalese capital, Dakar.

“The creation of this office aims to strengthen the network of Tunisian trade representations in the central regions of sub-Saharan Africa,” the Tunisian Center for Export Promotion (CEPEX) said in announcing the opening.

This sixth CEPEX office, based in Dakar, will support the efforts of the five representations in Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire), Nairobi (Kenya), Douala (Cameroon), Abuja (Nigeria) and Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo).

It will also help to activate Tunisia’s economic diplomacy in the region by supporting the expansion of Tunisian exports to new markets.

In particular, the promising and important consumer market of Dakar, which represents an outlet for a huge market of over 300 million consumers in Africa and a gateway to other major markets such as Mauritania, Gambia, Guinea and Mali.
