Talks with the European side on the liberalization of air transport Tunisian “Open-skies” should begin in October or November 2012.
This date was set at the meeting held by Minister of Transport, Abdelkrim Harouni, in Berlin (Germany), with the Vice-President of the European Commission (EC), responsible for transport, Siim Kallas, according to a press statement released Tuesday by the Ministry of Transport.
Abdelkarim Harouni is paying a working visit to Germany, on the occasion of the International Fair of Transport “Innotrans” in the German capital held from September 18 to 21, 2012.
The Minister met with key international railway companies, participating in the fair, like Hyundai Rotem (Korea), Bombardier and Alstom (France), the statement added.
The talks focused on major rail projects in Tunisia, namely the high-speed rail line (HSL), the rapid rail network (RFR), the metro of the city of Sfax, the trans-Maghreb network and the renewal of the Tunis-Goulette-La Marsa (TGM) rail line.
