The overnight MMR fell during the interbank session of April 25, 2018 from 6.70% the day before to 6.35%, down 35 basis points in a single day, ilboursa reported.
It should also be noted that the overall volume of refinancing of banks with the BCT has been on a slightly downward trend since mid-April.
Indeed, the BCT has recently encouraged banks to reduce their recourse to refinancing with it.
In parallel, the BCT significantly lowered the tender rate on April 25, 2018 to 6.25%.
The compromise between the BCT and the banks will be tested in early May 2018 with the announcement of the inflation rate of April 2018 by the INS (National Institute of Statistics).
