Tunisia is currently participating in the 46th edition of the international food and beverage exhibition “FOODEX 2021” held from March 9 to 12, 2021 in the Japanese capital Tokyo, the Export Promotion Center (CEPEX) announced in a statement Tuesday.
In addition to Italy, Spain, Greece and Turkey, several countries in Asia and America, including Malaysia, Indonesia, the United States, Canada and Mexico are taking part in the event.
The Tunisian participation is overseen by Tunisia’s Embassy in Tokyo through a pavilion of 18 square meters which showcases diversified samples of Tunisian food products (olive oil, pasta, dates, wines and preserves (tuna, sardines and harissa) and spices.
Despite the health measures, the Tunisian pavilion has seen a significant flow of visitors on the first day.
Foodex created in 1974, is one of the main trade fairs of food industries and soft drinks in Asia and the world which annually attracts nearly 3 thousand exhibitors and 75 thousand trade visitors
