Tunisia’s phosphate production for the first quarter this year rose to 2.1 million tonnes, recording an increase of 54% compared to the same period last year, the Tunisian ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines said on Friday in Tunis.
Despite the sharp rise, production is only 77% of forecasts and 50% of installed capacity, says the ministry.
