Some 217 schools were funded under the Raida program, including 193 kindergartens, 18 nurseries in addition to 6 leisure and cultural activities for children, with the aim of ensuring better geographical coverage in the services provided to children.

Regarding the governorates beneficiaries of the Raida program, the governorate of Tataouine is listed first with 188 projects, followed by the governorate of Kebili with 183 projects, Jendouba, 177 projects and Tozeur 152 projects, said the release.

The objective is to reinforce the principle of positive discrimination in accordance with Article 12 of the Tunisian Constitution, according to the same source.

The Raida program, carried out by the Ministry of Women in cooperation with the Tunisian Bank of Solidarity (BTS), is part of the efforts of the State to reduce the unemployment rate among university graduates and strengthen the role of women in the economic recovery process.
