Tunisia is among the African countries offering the most favorable business environments for entrepreneurship.
According to the StartupBlink Innovators Business Environment Index 2026, the country ranks 7th among the top ten business environments in Africa, while placing 87th globally. It also leads North Africa in terms of digital infrastructure and regulatory framework.
According to the same source, this performance is based on tangible criteria that assess the ability of national environments to support entrepreneurship through several key parameters.
These indicators include ease of starting a business, access to credit, governance, digital infrastructure, institutional trust, and other factors related to the development of entrepreneurial activity.
The report states that these results reflect Tunisia’s continued efforts to improve its entrepreneurial and digital ecosystem, helping to create a more favorable environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.
