The company “Les Ciments de Bizerte” has published its activity indicators at end September, 2022. These indicators show a 10% decline of overall turnover to 93.7 million dinars, against 104.2 million a year earlier.
The cement company has seen its production of clinker drop 17.7% to 431,350 tons and cement fall down 20% to 421,987 tons, at the end of the first nine months of 2022. As for the production of lime, it fell 50% to 12,191 tons. This decline is due to the lack of demand on the domestic market.
The export turnover of the company went down 26% to 11.4 million dinars, against 15.4 million a year earlier. In the third quarter alone, export sales have fallen by 90% to a value of 228 thousand dinars.
As for the debt, it dropped from 137.3 million dinars at the end of December 2021 to 123.1 million at the end of last September, down 13.5%.
In addition, management credits stood at 30 million dinars, against 12.9 million at the end of last December.
