Tunisia seeks to welcome some 350,000 tourists from Russia in 2004, Tunisian ambassador to Moscow Ali Goutali told reporters Monday in St. Petersburg, recalling that Russian tourist flows in his country had doubled since 2011.
“Nearly 300,000 Russian tourists visited Tunisia in 2003. This year we expect to host 350, 000,” said the diplomat.
He also stressed that Tunisia has become a country increasingly attractive to Russian tourists for the good quality/price ratio.
“I am convinced that the number of Russians wishing to visit Tunisia is increasing in reality,” the diplomat said, adding that his country plans soon to accommodate up to one million Russian tourists per year.
