Agents of a security firm working on behalf of the Gabes Cement Company (SCG) observed, on Monday, a sit-in outside the headquarters of the company and blocked access to the building.
They claim their inclusion among the staff of the company, calling for an end to exploitation under sub-contracting.
The Gabes cement company is the leading provider of the southern regions. Its sales volume is 5,000 tons of cement per day.
The sit-in is likely to fuel even more the speculation in cement recorded in recent months in the country and responsible for the unprecedented surge in the price of this product.
