Tunisia: slight decline of dinar against U.S. dollar

The Executive Board of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) noted a certain recovery in the value of the dinar against the euro in August 2014, with an appreciation of 0.4% to August 28 at 2.2941 dinars, while it decreased slightly vis-à-vis the U.S. dollar (-1.1%), whose exchange rate reached 1.7383 dinars on the same day, driven by a relative improvement in liquidity in the foreign exchange market.

Compared with the beginning of the year, the decline of the dinar reached 1.2% against the euro and 5.3% against the dollar.
