The amounts owed to the Tunisian National Water Distribution Utility (SONEDE) because of unpaid bills amounted to 268.255 million Tunisian dinars (MTD), CEO of the company Mohamed Daheche said in an exclusive interview with African Manager on Wednesday.
The official said in this context that these debts are as follows:
Subscribers’ unpaid bills are in the order of 164.441 MTD.
Unpaid bills of large consumers, including industrialists and hoteliers, are estimated at 36.577 million dinars, while they reached 32.601 million dinars for decentralized public administrations.
Unpaid bills of departments and municipalities amounted to 34.635 million dinars.
