SOTETEL, a subsidiary of Tunisie Télécom, has published its performance indicators for the fourth quarter of 2023, at the end of which the company achieved remarkable, even exceptional results.
In fact, the growth momentum continued in the fourth quarter of 2023 with a 60% increase in revenues (+10 million dinars). This exceptional performance enabled SOTETEL to achieve a record turnover of 66.2 million dinars for the whole of 2023.
The 30.4% increase in annual revenue is the result of a 28% increase in local revenue to 62.7 million dinars and a 128% increase in exports from 958,000 dinars to 2.1 million dinars.
As for accumulated operating expenses, they reached 58.3 million dinars at the end of last December, compared to 44.5 million dinars in 2022, up 31%, including 37.6 million dinars in consumed purchases (including subcontracting) and 16.2 million dinars in personnel costs.
Thus, at the end of 2023, the company generated a positive EBITDA of 7.9 million dinars, compared to an EBITDA of 6.2 million dinars in the previous year, an improvement of 26.4%.
With these annual results far exceeding expectations, the first full year of the company’s CEO, Karim LAABIDI, who was appointed to head the company on January 1, 2023, is therefore very positive.
