Tunisia: SOTUVER achieves turnover of 37 million dinars in Q1 2023

SOTUVER achieved sales of 36.9 million dinars in the first quarter of the year, compared to 36.1 million dinars in the same period of 2022, up 2%.

In the local market, sales reached 16.6 million dinars compared to 13.1 million dinars in 2022, an increase of 27%. This improvement was driven by sales in the olive oil sector, which more than doubled.

On the export side, sales have registered a decline of 12% to be situated at 20.252 million dinars. This decrease is planned in accordance with the production program and will be made up in the course of the year.

Despite this decrease, sales to foreign markets represent 55% of the total turnover, which allows SOTUVER to maintain its status as a predominantly exporting company.

Total debt picked up by 25% from 66.9 million dinars at March 31, 2002 to 83.4 million dinars at the end of March. Compared to December 31, 2022, the outstanding debt has decreased by 3%.

Taking into account investments and liquidity, net debt recorded a significant decrease of 43% between March 2022 and March 2023, from 23.9 million dinars to 13.5 million dinars.

In addition, investments made during this first quarter amounted to 2.8 million dinars and mainly concerned the maintenance of production tools and the acquisition of industrial equipment.
