Tunisia: startup GOMYCODE expands in Morocco

GOMYCODE is expanding with a new Hakckerspace in Casablanca, Morocco, after the F station in Paris and Algeria, with the aim of enlarging the GOMYCODE community.

GOMYCODE Morocco will provide from January 2021 its training courses, between face-to-face courses in the Hackerspace or online, for the oldest but also the youngest.

We have the same challenges in Tunisia and Morocco. There is a real skills gap between what companies ask for and what universities offer in terms of talent and jobs.

Both countries also have high rates of youth unemployment. We are therefore working to reduce this gap through our education model to train for the jobs of tomorrow, says Yahya Bouhlel, CEO of GOMYCODE.

This presence in Morocco is part of the expansion strategy of the startup in Africa.

Thanks to a fund raising of 850,000 dollars, in pre-series A, in order to continue its geographical expansion but also to strengthen its platform of technological education, GOMYCODE has previously opened in Algeria, before continuing today to Morocco, Bahrain and Egypt.
