Minister of Economy and Finance Hakim Ben Hammouda told Jawhara FM on Wednesday that the government has no intention to remove subsidies on basic consumer goods and fuels.
However, he recognized that the “rich” are those who benefit most of subsidies on these products as they consume more than the “poor,” citing, in this regard, the AfDB study according to which only 9, 2% of the “poor” benefit of government subsidies.
