According to recent data provided by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining, the value of exports of the textiles and clothing sector increased from 5,216 million Tunisian dinars (MTD) in 2013 to 5,447.7 MTD in 2014, up 4.44%.
The volume of exports fell by 0.52% (171,800 tons in 2013 against 170,700 tons in 2014).
External sales of textiles and posted a significant rise in exports to Spain (12.5%), the Netherlands (8.9%) and the UK (8.3%), the source said.
