Tunisia will take part in the International Food and Drink Exhibition to be held from April 25 to 28, 2016 in Barcelona (Spain), with a stand of 108 square meters, said the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA).
This participation, which is part of the promotional program of FIPA for the year 2016, aims to attract foreign direct investment to Tunisia, the agency said in a statement.
Nine companies, investors, businessmen and representatives of support organizations like the Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (APIA), the Tunisian Union of Agriculture and Fisheries (UTAP), the agri-food technology park in Bizerte and the inter-professional group of canned food (IPAC) will take part in this event.
The participation of Tunisia in “Alimentaria Barcelona 2016” also aims to make known the Tunisian potential in agriculture and food industries, besides prospecting investment and partnership opportunities between Tunisian companies and their foreign counterparts.
On the occasion of this meeting, a seminar will be held April 26, 2016 on “investment opportunities in agriculture and food industries in Tunisia.”
The “Alimentaria Barcelona 2016” exhibition extends over 94,000 meters. 3,800 exhibitors will display their products there. Moreover, 140,000 visitors are expected at this biennial event, said the same source.
