In an interview with Africanmanager, financial expert, Mourad El Hattab said Friday’s terrorist attack by a Kalashnikov-wielding terrorist at the Marhaba Beach hotel will have very negative impact on the tourism sector.
According to his statements, this attack is the coup de grace for one of the key sectors boosting exports and liquidity at home and a loss of at least 1,000 million dinars (MD) will surely be recorded under this season.
He said the problem lies in the fact that other important sectors in terms of cash generation and support to economic activity are extremely dislocated like mining industries, petroleum and transportation.
