The tourist area of “El Kantaoui,” Sousse recorded an upsurge of tourism activity with a 34% increase in arrivals, the Regional Commissioner of Tourism in Sousse reported.
The same source added that the hotels have hosted 340,250 tourists in the first five months of 2013, against 253,800 visitors during the same period in 2012.
Indeed, the tourist area of “El Kantaoui” recorded 1.683 million overnight stays during this period, against 1.281 million in 2012, up 4.31%.
The Regional Tourism Commission also expects an improvement of tourism activities in the area of Sousse / Kantaoui, during the summer season, due to forecasts concerning, in particular, English, German and Russian markets which are traditional markets.
