Tunisia: TuiFly resumes flights

On the sidelines of her visit to Germany, Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts Selma Elloumi met with the Director General of TUI Group, the world’s largest travel company.

The meeting focused on boosting co-operation and developing the group’s activities in Tunisia. It was decided that TuiFly Germany will resume its flights to Tunisia after an absence of 6 years.

Six weekly flights will be scheduled from Hanover, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt airports. Similarly, the possibility of the resumption of cruises of by Tui Cruise Company was discussed.

With regard to training and the quality of tourist services, it was proposed that academic hotels be set up for the training of tourist personnel, within the framework of the partnership between the Ministry of Tourism and Tui Group.

The German tourist market grew by 43.9% on October 2017 compared to the corresponding period of 2016
