National carrier “Tunisair” and global provider of technological solutions and distribution for the travel and tourism industry “Amadeus” inked signed an agreement on the extension of the current contract for the next ten years.
The agreement allows a comprehensive updating of the Amadeus platform and provides Tunisair with the necessary technological solutions to improve its customer service and boost its modernisation at the operational level (booking, inventory, checking, digital, etc).
Through the Altéa Reservation Desktop Web website, sales agents will have access to a more pleasant Web interface, which will significantly reduce the training needs and the processing time of the passengers’ queries.
As a complement to the Altéa suite, Tunisair also opted for the Amadeus Ticket Changer suite that will allow its customers and travel agencies to automatically and instantly modify their tickets (revalidation, penalty payment, change of voluntary and involuntary itinerary), through all the distribution channels (web, mobile, Tunisair and travel agencies).
An agreement aimed to reduce the distribution costs was also signed to help Tunisair control its marketing costs and to generate more profitability and growth through an increasing efficiency in all sales channels.
