Tunisia: Tunisair increases weekly flights to Côte d’Ivoire from 3 to 7

National flag carrier Tunisair will raise its weekly flights to Côte d’Ivoire from 3 to 7, with a view to increasing the flow of bilateral exchanges and ensuring the transport of Ivorians to such European countries as Germany and Switzerland, said Tunisair sales director Karim Gueddiche.

Speaking at the 2nd “Matinale de l’Export” for 2016 held at the Export Promotion Center, (CEPEX), he recalled that the company operates in 8 African countries.

“By summer, the company will launch 3 new flights, namely, to Niger in April, then Accra (Ghana) and Khartoum (Sudan).”

CEPEX CEO Aziza Htira pointed to the investment opportunities in Côte d’Ivoire, adding that this country presents a portfolio of 94 projects worth 25 billion dollars to be funded over the 2016/2020 period.

Fifteen agreements govern the Tunisian-Ivorian relations, including an agreement on air transport, a tax agreement and an agreement on the promotion and mutual protection of investments.
