National carrier Tunisair’s passenger traffic posted an 8.6% increase in the first 11 months of 2016 compared to the same period in 2015, whilst the rest of the traffic recorded an 8% drop, according to data published on Thursday by Tunisair.
Traffic went from 2,543,350 to 2,762,280 passengers with a 9% rise in regular traffic and an 8% decline in the rest of traffic including extra, charter and pilgrimage.
Concerning the company’s load factor, it grew to 70.4% during the first 11 months of 2016 from 68.1% in the same period last year, i.e. up 2.3-points.
Some 16,670 passengers have taken Tunisair’s new Tunis-Montreal flight since its launch in June 18, 2016.
